Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit app.proz4u.com in your browser. Tap "Create account", enter your name and email, and choose whether you're joining as a Worker or a Hirer. You can also sign in with Google or Apple.

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password". Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour. If you signed up with Google or Apple, use those providers to sign in — there is no separate password.

Currently each account is either Worker or Hirer. If you need to use both, you can create two separate accounts with different email addresses. We're working on enabling dual-role accounts in a future update.

Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Type "DELETE" to confirm. Your profile is immediately deactivated and all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law. This action cannot be undone.

Email support@proz4u.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line. Under PIPEDA (Canada) and GDPR (EEA), you have the right to receive a copy of all personal data we hold about you. We'll respond within 30 days and may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

No. Workers on Proz4u are independent contractors, not employees. You set your own rates, choose your own clients, and control your own schedule. Proz4u is a platform that helps you get found and get hired — it does not employ you, control how you work, or cap what you charge. See Section 4 of our Terms of Service for full details.

Go to Profile → Get Verified. You can submit documentation for: Identity (via Stripe Identity), Trade Qualifications (Gas Safe, NICEIC, CSCS, etc.), Public Liability Insurance, DBS Check, and Right to Work. Upload your documents and our team will review within 1–3 business days. Verified workers receive significantly more profile views.

Go to your profile and enable "Appear on map". This allows hirers to see your pin on the discovery map for up to 4 hours. After 4 hours, your location is automatically deleted from our systems — it's never permanently stored. You can disable it at any time. Your precise GPS coordinates are never shown to hirers — only your general position on the map is visible.

Proz4u uses a blind review system. After a job is marked complete, both the worker and hirer are invited to leave a review. Neither review is published until both parties have submitted. This prevents retaliatory reviews and ensures you only see honest, verified feedback. You cannot be penalised for leaving an honest review.

Teams let independent tradespeople collaborate on larger jobs. You can create a team with other workers from different trades, giving you a combined profile visible to hirers. You can also send collaboration requests to other workers directly from job listings or their profiles. Teams are voluntary — every member remains fully independent. There's no employment or revenue-sharing agreement through the platform.

Tap the Discover tab → Post a Job. Fill in the title, trade category, description, location, timeframe, and any rate guidance. Your listing will be visible to matching workers in your area immediately. You'll receive applications in your inbox with each worker's profile attached.

Verified badges are awarded only after our team has reviewed the submitted documentation. Identity verification is conducted via Stripe Identity. Trade certifications are cross-referenced with the relevant issuing bodies where possible. That said, Proz4u cannot guarantee the accuracy of all credentials — hirers should always conduct their own due diligence, particularly for regulated work (gas, electrical, structural).

Yes. The Teams section in Discover shows pre-formed groups of tradespeople with complementary skills. You can message a whole team at once. Teams are voluntary associations of independent contractors — you'll still agree separate terms with each member, but finding and coordinating them is much easier through the team profile.

Try to resolve the issue directly with the worker first through in-app messaging. If that fails, you can report the worker using the ··· menu on their profile and we'll investigate. For marketplace purchases, raise a dispute within 7 days. Note that Proz4u is a platform — disputes over the quality of work performed are between you and the worker. We recommend agreeing clear terms in writing before work begins using our contract templates.

To receive marketplace payments, complete Stripe Connect onboarding via Profile → Set Up Payments. This involves verifying your identity and linking a bank account — it takes about 10 minutes and is free. Once set up, payments for equipment sales land directly in your bank account. Proz4u never holds your funds.

Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification. Proz4u never stores your card number, CVV, or bank account details on our servers. Your card information is tokenised by Stripe before we ever see it.

Stripe Connect payouts to your bank account are typically processed within 1–2 business days of a completed transaction, depending on your bank. The payout schedule is set to daily. For international bank accounts, transfers may take 3–5 business days.

Marketplace sales are final unless the item is materially different from its description. If you have a dispute, raise it within 7 days of receiving the item via support@proz4u.com. Refunds, if approved, are processed via Stripe and typically appear in 5–10 business days. The platform fee is non-refundable.

For marketplace transactions, Proz4u charges a 10% platform fee. This fee is charged to the buyer on top of the listed price — so a £100 item costs the buyer £110, and the seller receives £90. The full breakdown is shown to the buyer before they confirm payment. There is no fee for job engagements arranged through the Platform.
